Here is the first in a series of blogs following the journey we take with our couples to create the wedding cake of their dreams. We wanted to give you a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at the Cake Architect, from the very first sketch all the way through to setting up on the big day itself.
Planning a wedding is a notoriously stressful yet exciting time for any couple. Here at the Cake Architect we aim to make choosing your wedding cake as fun, stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
It all begins with a consultation with David to help you for your ideas, draft some potential designs and of course try some cake! Consultations are free, hosted here at our shop in Bradford-on-Avon (yes, you read that right, free cake!) and there is no obligation for you to book your cake with us. We hold consultations in the afternoons from Tuesday to Saturday during our opening hours at a time to suit you.
During your consultation you will have the chance to try up to 3 free tasters from our range of tried and tested cake flavours:
Gingerbread, Lemon, Red Velvet, Victoria Sponge, Lemon and Elderflower, Mixed Berry, Banana, Banoffee, Carrot, Chocolate, Chocolate and Caramel, Fruit, Sticky Toffee, White Chocolate, White Chocolate and Raspberry, Mint Choc Chip, Salted Caramel, Prosecco, Passionfruit Martini, Mojito and Pina Colada.
If you had an idea for a flavour you’d like to try that isn’t featured here then we are always looking to expand our range and love creating new flavours. We would be more than happy to create something unique for you to try, helping you to find a wedding cake that is truly personal and tailored to you and your partner.
Some couples come to a consultation ready with a fully developed idea, some may have a colour scheme or a style in mind from which to work with and others a completely blank canvas. No matter which stage you are along the road to creating your dream wedding cake David is the man to talk to. During the consultation we will talk you through all of your ideas and sketch as we go so that you can see your dream wedding cake begin to form.
It’s a good idea to book yourself in for a consultation well in advance of your wedding so that we can book you in and save the date! That being said, don’t panic if you’ve been overwhelmed by pre-wedding planning, just give us a call and we will do our best to fit you in and accommodate for any timescale that you might have.
